I decided to write this series of books after working in a public school district. Again and again, I saw the kids' faces light up for story time, and then groan when it was time for math practice.
What a tragedy! I thought.
A student's positive attitude and mindset is one of the most important precursors to learning.
Math instruction can and should be fun and funny, never drudgery.
And so the idea for this book was born. I've put fractions and percentages, concepts many students find tricky, into a fun and funny story.

My daughter is struggling in math, but she likes to read. I was so excited to get this book and was even more excited when she devoured it and has read it a few times since! I think approaching challenging subjects in different ways gives kids a greater chance of connecting and remembering things that are hard for them. Something in this book may come to her mind when she is taking a test or trying to remember how to do a certain problem. THANK YOU for providing another way for her to explore and understand math!

A cute and fun book to teach young children fractions. The illustrations are simple and work very well to teach the concepts. If I had children I would buy this.

My grandkids love 1% Clean, so I got them “Multiplying Letters” in the Funny Math Stories series, too. It’s just as much fun as the first book. When letters start being used in math it can be confusing for kids and a fun story like this one can really help them grasp the concept without having math anxiety. These books are great!
